I drove this canyon road and now I need to quit my job and move west. Damn.
I was recently in the area for work, with a rental Hyundai Accent, and just enough time on my hands to have some of the most fun I’ve ever had.
It was rainy, foggy, and I had to hold the car in 2nd most of the time with sportronic shifting just to make it up. But HOLY SHIT! I had adrenaline shakes for an hour. I think I smiled all night.
Went up the right side, and down the left, for safety. It was unpassable an hour later due to the rain and mud slides. I like that weather though, less people... Or no people. Anyway I probably could say more but I just wanted to share that I experienced another driving bucket list item.

I think between drought, wildfires, earthquakes, taxes, and worst of all front bumper license plates, I wouldn’t want to live in California...but I’d sure love to spend a few months exploring it.

After carving some mountain roads this past weekend, I know exactly where you're coming from.

I’ve done some excellent mountain roads around New England in my Cayman but they're more like swoopy than tangled if you get that. It was exhilarating and I think my first real dose of fun in slow car feeling fast.

Yeah I know what you mean, I’m more familiar with Mid Atlantic/New England as well. Glad you had a blast !
Now where to move to...
